You will also be introduced to a variety of dance exercises that can be incorporated into any music and movement session. Bring out your creative side by practicing your own short movement sessions using the exercise types suggested. Discussions around the links between Te Whāriki and movement exploration will take place. Principles of creative movement exploration (including the Laban movement analysis) and how to bring these complex topics into an ECE setting will be explored. Through this workshop, we will learn how to extend tamariki interest into a physical medium - movement and dance! Kaiako will gain a deeper understanding of: - The links between Te Whāriki and movement exploration - How to safety approach movement education - Creative movement exploration principles - A variety of key types of movement exercises - How to design their own short, safe, and fun dance session - How to lead the children through a creative movement session AND SO MUCH MORE!!! Presented by Camila - Director of JitterBubs Movement and Dance. After working in the ECE sector, Camila set out to bring to life a music and movement programme which was vibrant and engaging for 2-5 year olds. With 20+ years of dance training, a Bachelor of Performing Arts and over 10 years of dance teaching experience, Camila has extensive experience in the dance and education sector.
